Brief history of the ORTO-K
The Orthokeratology (ORTO-K) is applied from years 60. It is a nonsurgical procedure in that we used contact lenses of a special cut (INVERSE GEOMETRY) and stop DK (Gas permeable) that smooth and gradually modify the curvature of the cornea (CORRECTION OF MYOPIA) and form a new surface in the eye (CORRECTION OF ASTIGMATISM).
The last technology in the manufacture of the contact lenses with materials of high DK allows to apply the treatments of NOCTURNAL THERAPY, to correct the visual problem during the night (ACCESSIBLE CORRECTION IN CHILDREN FROM 6 YEARS) When waking up exempt the lenses and you can see clearly during the day without crystals of the prescription or the contact lenses.

In our laboratory we processed in exclusive right the ULTRAVIOLET FILTER and contact lens of INVERSE GEOMETRY.
The use of disposable lenses (easy to contaminate) and/or graduated eyeglasses. they can offer a very comfortable vision. But never they will be able to stop the advance of the myopia and astigmatism.
